The Project, which will be wholly-owned by Boralex, will require an investment of more than C$15.7 million (9.8 M euros). All energy generated will be sold to Electricite de France under 15-year contracts. The land leases are for an initial period of 40 years, renewable for an additional 40 years at Boralex?s discretion.

The project will include 4 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2 MW. Construction of the Plouguin site began in 2004 and commercial commissioning is anticipated for next October.

Once completed, these projects will bring Boralex?s total wind power in France to a capacity of 150 MW, making Boralex the largest wind power producers in France.

Boralex focuses on four types of power generation: hydroelectric power, thermal or cogeneration power from natural gas or wood residue, and wind power. These are all fields where Boralex has developed proven expertise centered on renewable energy.
